The Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR) seeks to hire a Counsel I for Child Support Enforcement in the Springfield office. The mission of the DOR’s Child Support Enforcement division is to protect the economic well-being of the Commonwealth’s children by enforcing the financial responsibilities of parenthood. Effective child support enforcement is an essential part of the larger effort by the Commonwealth and the federal government to promote families’ economic self-sufficiency. The Child Support Enforcement division’s core functions are to establish paternity, and establish, enforce and modify child support and health insurance orders. Much of our success depends on collaboration with a wide variety of state agencies and private entities. Community Legal Aid Job Posting
Community Legal Aid (CLA) seeks attorneys to assist tenants at risk of eviction and homelessness due to the impact of COVID-19. These positions are temporary and funded through June 30, 2021, with the possibility of extension. Under the COVID Eviction Legal Help Project, teams of attorneys, intake paralegals, case managers, and support staff will help tenants facing eviction due to the impact of COVID-19. The CLA attorney team members will provide legal information, assistance, and representation of tenants facing eviction due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The attorneys may participate in CLA’s Housing Court lawyer-for-the-day programs, which may be virtual or in-person. The attorneys will have significant client contact and will work closely with community partners. The attorneys will work out of one of CLA’s five main offices in central and western Massachusetts (Springfield, Northampton, Pittsfield, Fitchburg, and Worcester).
